Hey Guys,
I'm starting to bulk and I need some advice. I've always been terrible with diets, definitely my biggest problem. I'm 6'0 about 188lbs and about 8-10% body fat. I'm looking to pack on some size once and for all. I've been hovering around this weight for a while and I can't seem to make it happen. I'd like to be around 215-220lbs (no specific deadline). I've found it difficult because I have colitis so my diet tends to work around that. If I have a flare up I have to start editing my diet just to get back to feeling normal again. That's a quick background, on to the diet plan.
meal #1: 6 egg whites, 1 whole egg, 2 slices of whole wheat bread
meal #2: 4oz (cooked) chicken breast, 1 cup Jasmine rice
meal #3: 4oz (cooked) salmon, 1 cup of sweet potatoes (mashed), 1 cup of broccoli
meal #4: (pre-workout) 4oz (cooked) lean ground beef, 1 cup of white rice (on work out days I throw in some pop-tarts, stole that idea from the forum!)
mean #5: (post-workout) I have a protein shake (25g of protein) following my workout then I make dinner and eat approx 30-40 minutes later - 6oz chicken, cup of green beans, 1 Cup of brown rice
meal #6: Before bed I'll have another protein shake mixed with peanut butter and some 2% milk.
That's what I've got so far. I've done some reading and tried putting the diet into calculators like fitday.com to get the macro's but each site or calculator seems to be a bit different so I've come to you guys who have the experience I lack to lend a hand.
Any help and advice is greatly appreciated.
