The Bench even with just 120lbs was just killing the right shoulder, so I dropped it. The dips on the other hand cause me no pain what so ever so I stayed on that while supersetting the back movements. I tried the incline hammer and close grip bench and both those caused a little irritation. I do want to find another variation for chest, I'm going to try dumbbell bench with a neutral grip next time and maybe cable flys otherwise I'll just stick with the dips till the shoulder heals. I have to say the chest pump from the dips was awesome. I'm not going to get discouraged by the injury, I'm just going to work around it, so many movements I can do. As long as I'm doing something.
Dips are great for your chest. Focus on bringing the dips up and loose the bench for a few weeks and I bet when you come back to the bench you will improve on it

~60 minute run unknown distance, things are flooded pretty good over here.
Going to get on the sledding hill with the weighted vest on Sunday. Shoulder still hurts so I went to the archery range instead of lifting. Went to the Chiro too and will stretch later. Not sure when I get back in the gym, but the Chiro says that the right Serratus is weak and not holding the scapula in the correct position so he gave me a movement to incorporate. I honestly think the lack of deadlifting is hurting me more than anything.
10 flights on the Sledding hill with the 40lb weighted vest.
Notes:
We always start with 10 and honestly it was pretty easy, we'll go up 2 each time and get it up to 20. It really wasn't enough exercise for the day I'll have to do something more later. Been doing the mobility work and the shoulder is feeling a little better so I'm been hesitant to go to the gym at all. Not sure what I'm going to do here yet.
12 flights on the sledding hill with the 40lb weighted vest.
Morning weight: 185
Right shoulder thoracic spine feels better but not great. Doing lots of mobility work. I have been going to the archery range twice a week to stay active.
15 flights up the sledding hill with the 40lb weighted vest

1.5 mile run @ 14:58
Notes:
Continue to have the impingement issue on the right shoulder, feels almost like a rib is out of place. Went to the chiro 3-4 times but he describes it as a brick. I have gotten some mobility on it when I stretch up to 20 minutes several times a day but I'm not doing it as much as I should. This reminds me of something that happened to Cellardwellar where it seems to cause weakness to the rear delt portion of the shoulder when it acts up. I have been okay to shoot archery so I've been keeping active doing that. I'm probably going to just wait till Thanksgiving and then start back up slowly with high reps and light weights. Cut today's run short it was too cold. May bring the cardio indoors or hit the sledding hill twice a week. Weight has been steady in the 184.4-185.4 range, my pants are kind of falling off me. Might as well keep the weight down since I'm not lifting. Really not that hungry.
20 flights up the sledding hill with the 40lb weighted vest ~ 44 minutes.
Notes:
Shoulder is slowly getting better but far from perfect. Morning weight yesterday was 182.4 so I'm taking advantage of the circumstances to bring my weight down. I'm thinking that my days of trying to lift heavy are over and I'll switch to lighter strength training going forward. My priorities as a result of this injury have shifted to making avoiding injury a primary.
Notes:
I've given the shoulder a lot of time with only marginal improvement. I've decided to come back to the weights very, very light as at this point I think it only gets better if I rehab it. Not exactly sure on the programming but light weights high reps and lots of movements. Weight is down to 182 so I'm pleased that I pulled it back when I took off. Still want to lean up more though so I'll stick with the meal plan.
Was going to keep going with shoulders and arms but decided to split it up and come back to it another day.
