Notes:
We're back on a 4 day work week so doubles on the days off and we'll try and grab something on the shorter workdays. Plus, if it ever stops raining, thinking a 2 mile walk after dinner.
We've been having some rain ourselves! I tend to like it because it makes everything seem cozy when it's darker out and cool, but I need my Vitamin D too =)
This week the highs are in the mid 90's. So already in triple digits for the heat index. Summer is here! Probably just had last cool front Friday. That storm hit HARD! Geez.

Yesterday morning weight: 183@16.2 bodyfat ; new goal weight: 178.32
Notes:
So far I've lost 4.2lbs on this cut but 1.65lbs of it is muscle so that lowers the goal weight by that much. Thinking 3-4 more weeks. Don't know when they open the gyms up again but really want to be off the cut by then. Back at work, but work is choppy. Some days are extra long, other days are just the mornings but I'm happy to have work. I volunteered to work the morning of Memorial day and the full day on Saturday. They'll be plenty of time for extra workouts. Was very happy to rehire staff. There are so many secondary effects, so I'll take as much work as they'll give me. Plus it's a new world with new protocols for containment, so it's good to get everyone accustomed to it. And quite frankly it's good for me to be back at work because I think I was over training.
Notes:
Even though the work schedule is markedly reduced, the Covid related stuff that we have to do is really eating up tremendous amount of time. From training, to modification of facilities, to implementation of protocols, meetings and meetings, it has been incessant. I really pushed it yesterday and finished the second of an extensive training module. I have to work a full day today and Saturday night I want to have some fun.
But tomorrow I want to put it back on the training.
Feeling you on the COVID stuff. Seems like we just got the tents right at the ER, the right processes in place and now everything is changing again. They believe the tents are causing fear and now have to come down. So entirely new triage processes and clean/ contaminated areas will be created. Every day is different

Notes:
Morning weight 182.8. Something reset on my bodyfat scale this morning and the BF reading jumped to 18.1%, I tried the different settings but couldn't figure out where I had it so I'll probably go with this and just figure I need to get down to 173ish if I really want the 14% bodyfat. Not so sure I want to get that low, but we'll see I'm kind of on a roll now and the gyms are still closed for another month so we'll continue.
For some reason been having an ok time with the meal plan. Buddy picked me up this morning and we drove out to the archery range. Wore masks in the truck for the ride there and back, was really good to get out of the house, recreate and socialize a little.
20 flights on the Sledding hill with the 40lb vest ~ 41 minutes
Notes:
So yesterday my wife and I drove up and visited a friend. My wife quit drinking last August, so I rarely drink now. Anyway I had a couple glasses of red wine as my friend is a big wine guy. When in Rome....
As I'm coming down the last flight on the sledding hill today I develop the faint aura of a migraine coming on. I really got hammered with this one and wound up in bed and sleeping for 3 hours. Thing is the last time I had a migraine was when I visited my son in March and I had some red wine with dinner and the next day when we worked out I developed a migraine. It was also the last time that I had a drink. Some migraine patients anecdotally report the association with red wine, but research is apparently inconclusive as to whether it is the red wine or simply alcohol. Apparently migraines take multiple inputs coming together to elicit the trigger. I rarely drink but I am not inclined to do away with it all together, but maybe the put aside the red wine.
No double workout today, maybe try and make it up tomorrow.

Migraines are typically caused by either stress or dehydration. Plus it could be altitude sickness?
I can’t have red wine either. I have gout and it’s probably from all the canned tuna I ate in my 20s. So I can’t smash a can post work out anymore and I can’t drink red wine. Not even a sip. Those things trigger me, but all the other stuff they say I can’t eat I eat tons of. Weird.

Notes:
Hands weren't ready for the 275 but it'll be better next time. 180.6 this morning so we're hovering lower, but man I'm losing size and don't like it. I need to get back in the gym, still looking like not before the 27th. My enthusiasm for the cellar is waning. Staying on the cut and will go heavier where I can.
