45 minutes on the Elliptical with the 40lb vest and 10lb ankle weights, highest incline, hardest resistance.

      Weighted Chin Ups

      17.5lbsX7,4,4,4,3,3,3,3

      T-bar Rows

      92.5lbs on the barX31,13

      Curls

      85X6,5,4,4,3,3,3

      1 minute rest

      Notes:
      Weight: 186.6.

85 lbs on the curls is about all the weight I'm going to be able to safely handle for a while, it's causing a very slight strain on the right shoulder that I injured last year, soooo we're just going to grab reps from here at 85lbs and so with that we added a little volume to help that out a little. I really would like to be 182 lbs ripped but I don't think I can gain enough muscle without the Squat and it's a dilemma because I know I need the quality aerobics I'm getting from the weighted Elliptical work. We'll see.
Sore as hell from the deadlifts. I know high rep deadlifts get a bad rap because its hard to keep the form but man what a great exercise with light and thus safe weights for high reps. You get sore in places that you just can't work otherwise.

I love high rep deadlifts. Nowadays since the coached training I do high-reps in form of a cluster set mostly. But I sure did higher reps prior to that aswell.

The pump alongside blood taste and crazy heart rate, yikes.

Wasn't feeling reps today. I handled 185 fine so I think I'll stick with this a couple warmups and then grab reps with 185. We'll see if I can grab more reps next time.

      Deadlift

      140X10X10sets

      Notes:
Weight is 187 but I don't think I can maintain it. I thought about doing the pull day right after the deadlifts and well that idea evaporated. I know it was only 140lbs but I was wiped. I absolutely need to find one more day to lift.

      Notes:
Bench started OK but then I pooped out. A little bit of sandbagging too I wanted clean reps. No letup in sight as far as work so I think what I'll do is whenever I can after work I'll do a light deadlift session as that's only 15 minutes or so and put things back the way I had them with alternating a push day and a pull day on my days off. I need more sleep.

I miss the gym. My wife got her second dose of the Pfizer vaccine last Friday so in a week she'll have good immunity and in any event a week from Monday she's going in to work. I guess there remains the concerns about the variants but at some point we need to start getting back to it. I do prefer benching at home simply because I feel safer benching in the power rack. So some combination of home and gym would be good I should think.

Well I just called my gym and they require face coverings the whole time you're in the gym. Maybe I don't go back quite yet.

Good work in here. And i never would have guessed how much i have used my rack in the past year. Crazy!
I think i will get a hack squat machine and a lat pulldown set up and forget about ever going back to a gym.

At this point the scam and lies are so blatant no one is really buying into it.

10 flights on the Sledding hill with the 40lb vest ~ 21 minutes

      Weighted Chin ups

      25lbsX6,4,4,3,3,3,3

      T-bar(weight on bar)

      70X10
      95X10

      Curls

      85X8,5,5

      85,65,45X4,4,6 Drop set

      Notes:

It's that time of year when I'm just sick of getting on the Elliptical and it was warmer so I headed out to the sledding hill. I was done at 10 flights though, it's so much harder than the Elliptical. I think I'll switch to the hill and light weight deadlifts depending on the weather, in lieu of the Elliptical. Mulling over squats too, I put up a mirror to assess form.

Weight: 187.4, yesterday 187.8, I'm going to back off slightly on the intake. I need to gain a little more muscle but the bulk of what I lost on the upper body last year has been gained back.

Night before last I hardly got any sleep and my joints were big time achy today so a toned down boring but big. No aerobics today as my legs are screaming sore from the weighted hill workout. I'm having to walk down the stairs backwards. Only 2 sets on the close grip bench because I was done from the volume on the bench.

One thing, when I dropped to a light weight on the overhead press an got sets of 12-20 reps I really liked the pump I got. How do we feel about the pump? I mean it just felt real good to me.
