"I am the man responsible for who I am. When I look in the mirror each day, I stare my creator in the eyes. I am responsible for what I have and will become, I am accountable for what I will or will not accomplish. I believe in myself, I bow to no man and my only critic of any consequence has walked every mile of this journey in my size thirteens. " - G. Diesel
I'm not huge into eating protein bars regularly, but if I'm eating one I'm definitely taking a look whats in it. If the protein to carb ratio is 1:1 or close to it, thats pretty good...Higher in fiber and lower in sugars and fats. Sometimes you can get one and it tastes like you're eating a candy bar. That might be some people's intentions, but I feel like its too good to be true most of the time and you're usually just eating crap as you would in a candy bar.
I think there are a few different avenues but i do like a high protein, moderate carb style bar.

In the event I'm eating a protein bar, it means I'm in a bind and am just looking for sustenance. With that in mind, I'm looking for something clean. I care less about how many protein/carbs are in it. I'm more concerned about the quality of the ingredients.

I use MRBs regularly at work. They stand in as my snack between my breakfast shake and lunch. I have no time for a real meal here. I eat one and toss back 3-4 Uni Livers or Beef Aminos with it. First thing I look for is protein content. The other thing I look at is sugar alcohols. I find that the more candy bar tasting ones are loaded with sugar alcohols and they give me the shits. I try to stay away from those. Taste isn't high on my list.
Breakfast shake is whey, oats, PB, bananna and milk in the nutribullet. Sometimes I sub cereal for oats to change things up.

I think some sugar alcohols are ok, but an insane amount is less than ideal
