I'm a culinary major living in Hawaii. I wake up at 5:00 AM to cook breakfast and get ready to catch the 6:30 bus to school. I'm on my feet for 8 hours over a hot stove cooking while a chef instructor is there yelling orders in my ear. After class i head home and get ready to go to the gym and train for 2 hours. I then get to come home and have my daily meal of ground beef and rice, and go to bed and do this all over again.
To the average person, to choose going to the gym and pushing myself instead of staying home and resting after a long stressful day at school may seem taboo, but i love doing what i do. Much like in any relationship in life be it with another person or a job or hobby you may have, there may come a time where you need to do tasks similar to mine. But you will soon find that as you are completing these tasks that they will seem more of an exciting journey than an obligation. Your willingness to do all these things with a positive outlook, and not having to talk yourself into doing these tasks are absolutley key to not only your health, but just your overall happiness because you are doing something that you want to do all the time.
