Ok, so had my meniscus scoped and trimmed, said looked like Freddy Kruger tore it up, was all hanging off the side of the femur head. So, got it done about a week and a half ago, remember it getting blurry when she said see you soon and then woke up to them calling my name.
I got in wheel chair and got up and walked a few steps to car, walked to mom's house (was in same city) and then my wife drove me home (3 hours) and was wide awake, alert and no pain really at all. Over the next few days I did more and more walking until it was about the amount of a full normal day for me, minus work and training. Doing my little exercises like seated leg extension on bed or chair, lying on back and sliding foot to ass, etc. and thought I was honestly a few days away from getting back to normal as I still had a limp and was tight when I got up from sitting down for a while.
So, went to a party for 4th of July and they had 3 steps into house...wasn't hurting at all and didn't think about it, first step killed me. So...let me know at least I'm still a few weeks away from full recovery. I guess I was over zealous as it's only been 10 days so I guess there's that. Other than that, follow up appt is day after tomorrow and get the little stitches out on both sides (still have steri-strips over them) and see what he says. They gave me a work letter for 3 weeks...so not sure what will happen between then and now but it better be some serious ass healing...
