So, I have a question. I have been working out for about 18 years now (I'm 35) and one thing that always lags is my chest. I've been working out MAX-OT style for about 10-15 years now (basically 4-6 rep range) and I switch it up here and there (different exercises so my body doesn't get used to the same old thing; but I always kept it 4-6 reps...unless its like flys or something that's not a compound movement. Then I got 8-10.)
Anyway, I tried the German Volume Training last week (10X10 with one compound exercise per body part with 60-90 seconds rest in between) and I FELT it hard. I mean I was pumped up and my muscles were super sore the next day and every day after that for about a week. I haven't been sore like that in years.
My question is, for a completely natural bodybuilder, does this have any benefit for building muscle or is it just fatiguing it?
