Does anyone here drink bone broths? I find this drink to be very refreshing after a hard day in the gym, but often will sip a steaming hot cup of it during winter days as well.
What exactly do you mean? Like making an actual chicken or beef stock? Boil the bones in water for the flavor then just drink that strait?

I do. I don't drink it PWO, but I try to make it as often as I can. Like you said, it's especially good in the winter. Great stuff.

To make a really good bone broth, it can take a day or two. I found the easiest way is to place the bone in water in a crock pot. Yes, it can be beef or chicken, turkey bones are good too. I will add some onion, celery, a few bay leaves and garlic cloves and bring it to a simmer for a couple of days. To help break down the bone more, I'll add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar every eight hours or so. When the broth is done, it needs to be strained to remove fat and particles, unless of course, you want that. You can then jar it and heat some up for a nice cup of nutritious broth whenever you're up to it.
Yea i actually went to culinary school, so i do understand the process. I just wasn't sure if you actually meant a stock (which it does sound like what you are referring to). I actually had a Soups, Stocks, and Sauces class in school! Pretty cool actually
But good stuff, not particularly something i want post workout, and like G said, it works well with a base for a soup instead of the box stocks now.

It's a great post-workout drink.
It definitely takes time. Also the type of bones you use can make a huge difference on the finished product.
