A good day to you ALL,
Several years ago a picked up the weights again after a (believe it or not) 15 year layoff........ became a member of the Animal Pak forum, and although i'm not much of a poster of messages i AM a frequent reader, AND learned lots of good things in the process. I already were looking in the forum to see IF i could find an answer beforehand, but either my lack of the english language is playing tricks on me OR i am indeed posting a new topic ( i do hope however that it is in the right thread)
I was once held back by what is called a "Umbilical hernia". i had surgery for this a total of three times (the third time being indeed "the charm", so NO MORE PROBLEMS from that.
Now, in three days time, i will have surgery for a "Inguinal hernia", and this is what worries me the most: several friends tell me that THIS will be the end of my weight training days (and this truly gives me nightmares........)
My question is this: IS this "the end" or is there a way back to overcome this, and if so, what should the training strategy be like?
Awaiting your replies and with kind regards,
