My next strongman competition will be having a max hummer tire deadlift with a pick height of 18". From practicing with my axle and jerk blocks that will put the bar right under me knee cap. My current issue with that is breaking it off the ground. Once I get it past my kneecap I am good for the weight but I am struggling since its positioning puts my knees right over the bar.
Does anyone have any experience/tips for breaking the bar off the ground in that situation? The event allows straps but no suits/briefs.
