I've noticed that most of the successful strength athletes I interview tend to be introverted to the point that they have a hard time talking about how they did X or Y. I couldn't tell you how many times I ask them something in the course of the interview and they start with, "I don't know that's just what works for me", then as the conversation goes on they break down the most insightful things about training that they thought everyone just knew instinctively.
For example, I can't start out by asking something like, "If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self what would it be?" they always say, "I don't know." But if I ask, "What was a setback you had in training, what did you do to overcome it and how did you come up with that solution to your problem?" they always have some of the most self aware answers. I learn tons just listening to their thought processes.
For myself, I'm naturally an introvert but I've trained myself to be able to turn it on. I don't have a problem setting up an ABC and hanging with everyone there but I need several days alone to recharge afterwards.
