They say that the best way to make progress is to grab a book and track your progress.

I know for lifting heavy it is a great tool. Do bodybuilders think its important to track their training...and I don't just mean excereises sets and reps, i mean weights and percentages, RPE.

Also, Im curious to what extent people take notes on their diets? Does anyone track how many times they go to the washroom? Do they track their bodyweight daily, multiple times a day? Exact calories?

What are the best apps out there that people like to use?

How important do you think it is? We all know handfuls of poeple with excel files and this and that printed and check marks etc...while their dieting in the kitchen...and sometimes those people are more concerned with their excel files than actually pushing the weight like real badmen in the gym. Im not talking about those types of poeple. Im talking about us...people who train hard, and commit to plans.
