You cannot change the shape of a muslce. Shape and structure is genetic. For example if you have very poor peaks to your bicep you will never be able to make them peak. The will only get bigger in size. Now muscles can separate and become more detailed. Same with chest.
The answer is no. If you have a short bicept there is no wy on God's green earth that you can make it longer. You can not add mass to the lower part of the bicep. It's impossible. You can do preacher curls till your arms fall off, your bicept will never be long. Now were really talking genetics. Like Arnold had a short bicept but he had a good peak. He worked on the endlessly. You see him in pumping iron. His doing concertrated preach curls, you can see in his face, the agony as he reps past the pain. You see his bicepts blowing up his veins as he has the pump. But no matter what he did he could not change the shape of his muscle. He had great bicepts but they was not long. Same with his calves. Infact, other than his height and chest he did not have particularly unbelievable genetics for when it came to building a body. What made him special and his physique, was the fact that he over come his genetics with hard work. He great biceps. He made them as big as he could but you cannot change the shape of a muscle. I learnt this. Like most, i hated the little gap between the bicept and elbow. I have a good bicep curl, full stretch and squeeze, I used negatives slow speeds etc and as a result, i have a decent peak but I could not fill that gap. If you have short biceps you cant add mass to the lower part of the muscle. And it doesn't matter how much steroids you take either. Trust me lol Lou farrigno. He had a long bicept. But then he had to concentrate on thickness which is achievable but if your bicept is short there's nothing you can do. You can work on them to get the best out of them but they will ever be long.
Take your calves. If you have a short calve there's no way your ever gonna have a 23" bicept. It's not gonna happen. You need to know your genetics at this point. Where does your muscles connect?
Another funny guy. He did indeed. I've just seen his physique actually, impressive. It's good to see that there is actually bodybuilders on a bodybuilding forum. The purpose of the post. There's so much bullshit out there misleading information, like in these magazines. How to change the shape of your bicept etc do this movement.. no no.. buy this supplement. Infant there's probably a lot of kids on here who believed it was possible to change the shape of a muscle. I don't want them to waste tireless energy trying to change the say the peak on there bicep like as Chris says, when it can not be done. I don't want them to then think shut of themselves because they haven't achieved that. That time could be well spent doing touch ups. Calves forearms which she always be given there due time and respect.
Here's the things anybody can lift weights but that doesn't mean your a bodybuilder. Your weight lifter. A bodybuilder is some who displaces what he has built. Like Chris, like Rex and myself, have I left anyone it here... a bodybuilder is concerned about wasting time in the gym because his gotta eat his meal. But he can't do that until his opened up his muscle. Otherwise here end up fat like... a bodybuilder needs that time to do touch ups. Do you know what that means? I'd doubt it because your a weightlifter as Kai Green once said he will never be. Your not concerned with symmetry proportion symmetry correction through touch ups. Your nit a bodybuilder obviously. Chris is.. Rex is.. I am.. we show what we have built.
I really don't mean any offence Cellardweller honestly i dont
Infact Ive read your thread and I love it. Don't call on Chris. If you have something to say. PM please. This is a serious topic. Well it is to a bodybuilder. Hence why Chris replied. These are the sort of topics we should be talking about on a bodybuilding forum.
Not a bodybuilder here. I got the short end of the genetic stick.
I doubt that. I think your just being humbled when you say that. We work with what we got. We except it because we only have one body in this life. Yeah..but maybe you got a high IQ, you know, maybe his a dumb shit?
I just wanted to know if you plan on writing anything in the future? I love your thread. If so please let me know so I can subscribe. Many thanks. Friend

"Ask yourself this: if everyone else is training once per week, what are you doing that's so different that you would expect to get better results than anybody else? You might have good genetics, be tough enough and disciplined enough to train hard... but so are a lot of people." - BOSS
"I think I must be overtraining"... no, you're just a pussy - Machine

I think it's how you define it. You can't change the genetics of how the muscles will fill out as they get bigger. But for sure some muscles do not fill out symmetrically as they get bigger. So the shape of the muscle can change but you've got nothing to do with it.

True.
But I think this thread is aimed at changing a muscle´s shape with intention.
Where the muscle originates and where it attaches will never change (unless you have a surgical procedure). No form of training will change the shape of your muscle. What can happen, is that you change the illusion associated with a particular muscle group. As you develop your body, the illusion of your shape may change.
I had a young kid argue with me on IG that you can change the shape of any muslce provided you lightened the weight and focused more. He said top guys do not know how to train to do this. SMH! Too funny.
