Well... the reality of getting into REAL contest shape looks exactly like this. You´re not going to get in shape eating all different gourmet meals every day. There are a limited number of foods that work. And they work for everybody. Period.
I never said the foods had to be gourmet, but there is more to bodybuilding then chicken, rice, oats, broccoli, eggs.
There are plenty of benefits other food sources that can be utilized to help with increasing fatloss and weightloss (think refeeds or cheat meals). I am not talking about everyday use. But to make a blanket statement of needing to get X or Y Portions everyday there is just so much more to it in the big picture to assess what a client and athlete needs to get into shape.
I have seen plenty of pro's never drop below 200g of carbs a day and get ripped to the bone and win pro-cards. Some people have to suffer and go 0 carb and slave themselves to a treadmill. So there is no one size fits all for everyone. Chris Aceto preps a ton of clients and has them eatting low fat brownies and muffins pre-workout. While it may not be a #1 carb source to you I will let his work and clients dictate just how well he is as a coach and how shredded they come into their shows.
I just don't like people thinking they have to be on a cookie cutter diet plan for 16 weeks to get results, there is far more to nutrition then eating 4-5 foods on a daily basis to be ripped or get into shape. Again this depends on the individual, their metabolism, their caloric expenditure, what they need to diet down and lose weight. Some people just don't have the capcaity or calories to be able to eat more or enjoy more then the bar minimums .. proteins, veggies and some fats to get into contest shape.
I actually bought a jar of kraut this weekend because of this thread. Going to give it a go and see how things flow.
Just know that all Kraut is not created equal. I do like it but there are a few brands that are WAY better than others taste wise. You have to try different ones until you find your favorite.
and how long does that one container of sauerkraut lasts in Tuttle household? :D
i'm looking at how diet affects my: digestion, performance in the gym, sleep and the one thing that lots of people forget, water intake...BC when you eat a large amounts od food, it can happen that you really are not that thirsty and you just forget to drink... in my experience , that can affect performance, digestion , the famous PUMP etc.
AHHAH well between my wife and I? Like 3 days! HAHAH
What brands do you like? I grabbed Silver Floss this time and it is good so far. I also grabbed a small jar of Garlic and Dill flavored, that stuff was great! I haven't ventured out to far yet on brands but I am enjoying It so far.

“I realized early on that success was tied to not giving up. Most people in this business gave up and went on to other things. If you simply didn’t give up, you would outlast the people who came in on the bus with you.”

Heck yeah man! Send it over! I will give a shot to see if I like it. I just do not understand how the taste can vary so much from brand to brand? What is that?

you have a message :)
i belive it's about type of cabbage and the alone process of making sauerkraut BC it just needs to sit in a barrel or jar for 4 weeks to ferment properly and maybe some brands rush the whole process

First of all... guys, i wish you all the best in 2018. :)
got a question about nutrition based on blood type? do you belive in that and what is your opinion about it?
My knowledge about that is very thin
Subbed for this as well. I'd like to see what some of the more intelligent minds in here have to say on the subject. I can say I tried it for a few months and didn't really notice too much of a difference. I know it's suppose to dictate how your body digests certain foods. For example, myself being AB+, I (in theory) should be eating mostly turkey and no chicken. But, I didn't feel a difference one way or the other. HOWEVER, my wife also dieted this way too and noticed a great deal of difference digesting food.

"I think I must be overtraining"... no, you're just a pussy - Machine

Honestly? From what I have learned in school and what I understand about it? It is a total crock of shit. No real solid research supporting that is makes a substantial difference. It is amazing to me how many overthink nutrition and attach to extremes in hoping to unlock some secret. Big money maker though for people buy into it. Nothing beats eating a well balanced diet from whole foods that are contaminate free (organic). Period.

FROM Medicalnewstoday
However, there is a lack of supporting evidence to validate the proposed health benefits of following a blood type diet.
A review of data published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition concluded: "No evidence currently exists to validate the purported health benefits of blood type diets."
Most feel a difference from cleaning up their diet and being consistent.

oo it's alive :D busy?
yeah , just as i tought...asked bc some "trainers" in my town are making and seling super individualized diets based on blood type etc. - results are guaranteed :D (being sarcastic)
diets based on blood type sound to me just like gluten free diets (for people that are not gluten intolerant)....it's just a matter of cleaning up the diet and taking the balanced approach

HAHA yes stupid busy! Been working 10+ hour days with only day off being Sunday.
Oh I agree 100%! Just another fad or gimmick to trick consumers. Anything that states, "results are guaranteed" is crap. I could not even do that.
