Oh sports nutrition there is actually a certain amount an elite athlete (human body) can absorb. It is generally not greater than 1g carb per min. Now this is during some intense exercise when cyclists ingest and water dextrose. There is some new research providing evidence that fructose in combination of dextrose improves rate of absorption above 1g per min. Fructose can be absorbed in a different pathway than dextrose. Again these are top cyclists NOT weight lifting HAHAH

per minute of effective workout? For BB's and weight lifters that would be 45-60 min (maybe even less) so 45-60 carbs intra - generally

What I am saying is a top cyclist performing at 80% or greater for 60 mins straight cannot absorb more than 1g carb per min. So for a builder to consume 45-60g intra is silly in my mind unless there is another reason why they are doing it.

Yeah you can do that as long as it does not mess up training. When I used more than 30g of intra I feel like crap

sits on your stomach to heavy or you "blood sugar" crash?

regarding stepping on stage...legs are maybe a little bit down in size from the front, but hams and the "drop" are on point

Would you agree with me saying that some of these new carbohydrate powders can get absorbed at a faster rate? HBCD for example

      .
      Agreed 100%.
Why would you not try to capitalize your training by giving back to the body what it is losing? You want to keep the body in an anabolic state and provide the essential nutrients to enhance optimal performance. Could not agree more. Peri-workout nutrition is vital especially if you want to capitalize your training.

I found I train better with P+F Based meals and then introduce carbs intra-workout and then follow up with a post-workout meal that is carb rich. I have tried eating carbs pre-workout, but i find better digestion and training with peri-workout powder carbs and then a whole food meal post.

Dextrose, Malto, Waxy Maize just don't do it for me. HBCD digest super easy and leave 0 bloat.

Oh for sure but they are not for everyone. With my clients I have about 50/50 who see a boost and who do not at all if not feel like crap. Again also dependent on total carb intake for the day as well and of course body type.

Yeah some benefit it and some do not. You have to try it to see if it works or you see a difference but just because someone says it works does not mean it will for you or not. Have to try.
