      Favorite Cheat Meal

Many have their "go to" items for cheat meals or refeed meals... If I'm pre contest prepping, I typically keep the food of choice very clean carbohydrate and protein with moderate fats. This may be something as simple as pasta noodle, low/no fat pasta sauce, and chicken, usually consumed post workout or late in the evening. Off season cheat meals may vary depending on a holiday get together, celebration dinner, or just whatever my stomach desires. Lately, I've been into Azzippizza (healthier, sorta haha), burger and fries (not my healthiest choice), and early Thanksgiving dinner with friends/family. Sometimes you just need to enjoy life for a little while and not worry so much about being to the T 365 days a year. I may take a few weeks to deload stress of consistent dieting and come back to it full force. The holidays are coming up soon, unless you're pre contest prepping... enjoy some life with friends and family! Just my 2 cents... but for this thread...

NAME YOUR FAVORITE CHEAT MEAL!! :)

Pop-Overs (Scottish version of Yorkshire Pudding) but soft not firm.

eggs, milk (I use coconut milk) , bread flour, salt... that is it
If I want it sweet, dip in maple syrup or honey. if not add dark chocolate, butter , protein powder, peanut butter, cheese, meat, etc.

      they are awesome

      forgot the oil

      recipe:
perheat oven + pop-over pan in oven at 425 f. with enough oil to coat bottom of cup

1-cup milk (I use coconut milk)
1-cup flour (bread flour) is better than bleached all purpose is eh ok
      3-eggs
2-tsp oil (coconut oil) avocado = one with high flash point
      1/2-tsp salt

mix with blender / or hand mixer, by hand with whisk > DO NOT OVER MIX !!

      bake @ 425 f. or 218c. fot 20 minutes
      then turn heat down to
      350 f. or 176c. for 10 minutes

a real pop-over pan works best..... some people have used deap muffin pans
a Griswald #10 is equivalent for cast iron

OH GEEZ!! makes since... I have issues with acid reflex in the middle of the night if I eat a big cheat meal. I will literally throw up and be choking in bed. So I too try to keep it under control.

A lot of times I make my own burgers (less fat when I use 96/4%) and air fry my own fries. I did forget to mention I've been on a PBJ kick last week haha I rarely eat them but I was downing them right and left all last week lol

      - I'll pick up a thick bone-in ribeye and grill it up. Pair it with perogis. But before that, an appetizer of homemade buffalo calamari. With a glass of red or a glass of bourbon. Finish that off the night with vanilla/choc soft serve.

      - Or I'll go to my favorite italian restaurant in town and not even open the menu. I'll pick something off their specials and I've never been let down.

Can't go wrong either way! Italian food seems to always hit the spot.

We would read it and probably look at the restaurants website and drool at our computers while we dream about sinking our teeth into one of the delicious creations. This was not the tread to read at 5pm. I'm so hungry now but on to blast arms and then head to BJJ for an hour of rolling. Hope this pre-work out holds me over. Because pre-workout always tastes better than a big fat juicy bacon cheeseburger.

The blue raspberry Fury is my favorite. Green apple and orange are a close second.

      1. I eat gummy worms/gummy bears occasionally during my workouts in the offseason if I substitute it for my intra carb powders.
      2. You can never go wrong with a good ole burger. haha
