      Thoughts on 3 shake diet?

Due to my job/living arrangements its kind of hard to get my diet dialed in. I'm living in what can be called a one bedroom shack with a fridge and a microwave, and there isn't enough energy left to power a hot plate or my George foreman. But my blender does work. So I was thinking would this be a good diet idea? I have 4 shakes a day that are made with 3 eggs, 1 cup of milk, 1 scoop of protein and 2 servings of peanut butter and 1 cup of oat powder each. That's roughly 50g protein each. And for lunch I have a steak and egg wrap from starbucks and for dinner I have whatever my GFs family cooks (usually steak or chicken with rice or potatoes or something). Would this be a good long term diet. Right now I'm working on putting on LBM.

LONG term, it'll be very debatable. I do think the fact that the shakes are made up of eggs, milk, pb, oats, and protein are a lot better than just protein powder & water. When I was overseas, my diet was 4 shakes a day because there was nothing else of any nutritional value to have. I got by and did make good progress, but I was training my ass off too. You gotta do what you can within your means. Is it the BEST diet approach? Probably not. But, is it way better than eating fast food everyday? Absolutely

I´d lean towards saying you´re good. Considering the fact that your shakes really are solid foods blended up.
Basically you´re having 3-4 egg meals 1 Steak meal and 1 chicken meal. Supplemented with 3-4 scoops of protein powder. Sounds good to me...

Curious as well if you feel like you have noticed any changes good or bad. If you have been doing the shakes only...have you noticed a lack of energy? I would think that mentally it would feel like you aren't getting "real" food when actually you are getting what you need. Just curious.

Shakes are great but food means are very important. I would do 2 shakes a day max then rest food. Jist have to make it and bring with you. It sucks but that's it no easy way out!

I agree. Of course whole food is always the better choice. Powders and pills are called supplements for a reason.

Long term diet? I would say no, for it does lack variety and vegetables. Plus over time all that dairy and oats may cause some GI issues or make you feel weighed down. Again you do what you have to do for I was in a similar situation when I was doing my rotations. I would add some spinach in those shakes and maybe some berries to add some micro-nutrient dense foods.

That is a good way of looking at it and agree.

Here is what I've noticed; the energy drop off the first three days was TERRIBLE. But I comited to stick with it for at least a week and my energy picked back up. I've cut back on one scoop of protein and added 3 more eggs per shake to get more food in each shake. I also only add oats to the shake after my workout. I have started adding that vegetable powder supplement to each shale as well to hit my micro needs. Lunch is either a chicken panini or a steak and egg wrap since its free at work for me. Dinner is usually chicken or steak with a fuck ton of veggies. The way I see it; this is primarily a eggs and milk diet with 3 scoops of protein a day. Is it something I would recommend? Hell no. It sucks and I hate even looking at those shakes. But its something I have to do while I'm working on getting my life on track, so ill have to stick with it for at least a year. Plus its cheap as hell.

In all seriousness, I have added baby spinach to shakes before. You get the nutrients and it doesn´t fuck with the taste at all

I remember you doing a video about this. Right?
I like the idea of the frozen berries and banana. Makes the thing smooth like a milkshake.

I don't see why a tuna pack meal couldn't be in place as well.

Where theres a will theres a way. Just how strong is the will?

I used to eat primarily with easier foods/supps. Multiple shakes a day, crispy minis as my carb source. IIFYM not like a stupid asshole but like a lazy asshole, and since making a switch from foods that dont go bad to real foods Ive been feeling much better. Now my snacks are things like Animal Snak if im short on prep, or a shake....Ill have the occasional tube of pringles once a week but I definitely feel a lot better using supplements as supplementary vs using supplements as food.
How do you expect to run with the wolves at night if you spend all day stuntin with the puppies?

You risk tears if you let yourself be tamed.
