Hi! I've been a lurker here for a long time, and I really like this community so I figured I should start keeping a log over here. I'm a relatively new powerlifter, but this is totally my lifestyle now and it's sure to be for a long time to come!
I'm a mom to four daughters--it's so super important to me to be the best role model I can be for them. Hard work and goal attainment are capabilities I'd like them to learn from me, so I hope they'll learn valuable lessons from being exposed to my training. I want my girls to be badasses like their momma!
I joined a powerlifting gym called Deep South Barbell in Huntsville, AL back in October. I actually was just looking for a coach, but I'm super glad I joined the gym! There are so many benefits to training with that group--not just their years of experience, but the camaraderie and support from the gym members is truly valuable as well. Love that place!!
My goal: I will get a raw elite total this year, and I will pull 350!! I am attempting to cut to 132, but haven't been so successful yet. If I don't have some progress by the time I start my next meet training cycle I will probably just compete at 148. Best lifts so far: 215-155-320 raw @ 148.
