Apartment Cardio- Stairway to the penthouse

Just thought I'd share one of the funny things I've been doing lately.
So usually I try to go for brisk 20-40 minute walks 4-6 times a week, or around 120-140 mins of brisk walking. It's not just a slow steady state cardio think for heart health, its also a hip and back thing because mindful walking keeps my torn up hip feeling healthy, which in turn keeps my back from hurting when I train. I know, tinman now.

But anyway, Ottawa is cold AF so the nature walks by my place are out of the question as the snow and boots mess up my gait, and I only make it to the globo gym here and there for the treadmill....minimal since i have my son 2 weeks ago.

Anyway, one of the things I've been loving doing, going to the basement of my apartment building and walking the stairs with a few conditions.
-Head tall, no rounding of the back or slouching of the shoulders,
      -hinging at the hips
-no skipping steps and only two steps allowed on each landingie. 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-1-2-1-2-3-4-5-6-7-1-2-1-2-3......
-no touching anything with your hands(no railings, walls, nor yourself by hands on thighs
-no stopping moving, not for a micro second

It's way tougher than it sounds, it takes me around 4 minutes everytime give or take 10 seconds. The lactic acid in my quad and glutes is insane, my heart rate gets up there, especially once i get the top and stop.
So lately, I do the ffront end of the night shift with my boy so the wifey can sleep a bit, and once i change him, feed him and lay him down, I'll do a round, and then shower shake and sleep like a baby. Might do it again upon waking... Anyone else try something similar in the winter apartment life?
How do you expect to run with the wolves at night if you spend all day stuntin with the puppies?

You risk tears if you let yourself be tamed.

I work at a hospital and sometimes on breaks I walk up to the 8th floor (top) and back. I’ll have to try a more mindful approach next time
