I know his name wasn't Chris Tuttle... you hired the wrong guy!!!! lol That does suck though, that's just bullshit that someone would charge you and not respond!
Chris has been a awesome coach!

I had been into serious bodybuilding training about 2 years and decided I wanted to test the waters and do a show. First issue was I was told I'd need to hire him for a full 20 weeks because I was too fat (I had a pretty decent 6 pack, around 10-12% bf). I was new to the sport and didn't really know any better. Then about 10 weeks into the prep, I started getting zero responses. Emails, phone calls, nothing at all. I was just on my own and I had already paid of course for the prep services. Good times

“I realized early on that success was tied to not giving up. Most people in this business gave up and went on to other things. If you simply didn’t give up, you would outlast the people who came in on the bus with you.”
I have seen so many top level pro's bounce from coach to coach, or competitors who do very well at nationals and then switch coaches after one bad experience. It makes me wonder how they can go so wrong when you pay a top tier coach. Do not get me wrong the body is not a textbook, but if that is your living and you devote all your time and effort into prepping people there has to be something to it that doesn't make sense.

There are so many possible reason for this, you can´t tell why...

Well there is that too. Just as you know sometimes things do not turn out well even when everything was done right in prep. The body does odd things at times or does not respond. I have seen it with myself.

Oh i totally understand that, but again if you are a top tier coach who works with hundreds of clients (Which there are MANY). With your experience and time training clients I am sure they have seen everything and anything where situations go bad, and what was needed to get them back in track or get the ball rolling. Now when we talk about enhanced vs natural athletes there is a whole different ball game with the other factors/drugs added into the mix which could cause a drastic difference from a natural client. Still there should be more answers then questions when you coach for a living, are known to be a top tier coach, yet can't dial someone in. We all don't respond to the same dieting methods, training methods, and cardio protocol's but when things start hitting the fan someone who is top tier or a very highly praised coach should have an alternative to get things rolling in the right direction. Sometimes things click from the start, sometimes they don't there still should be some method, manuever, or manipulation that can be done to work with people that just don't respond to your usual or general setup. That is the beauty of coaching and the roadblocks it throws you and how you can overcome them. we are ALWAYS learning the human body and different situations.

Some are odd. I had a couple clients leave me after they won! AHAHH! Sometimes I do not even get it. What is very common to see is the top top guys who win most of the time are always with the same coach no matter what the outcome.

They won, and then left?
What was the reasoning behind that!?
You must have felt very weak and injury prone, no?
Pretty much. Even though I weighed in the evening before and had rehydrated pretty well, I just felt sapped the next day. I knew things were off when my squat warmups were way harder than they should’ve been, then I tweaked my upper back a bit on my 3rd, which messed up both my bench and DL after.
Now I’m sitting at about 249, 7 weeks out from my next meet...gonna taper down to 245-245, and cut minimal water.

I could imagine. When I do those cuts I feel so fragile.
That is not too bad of a drop. Should be good and safe.
The very same thing happened to me, too. With 2 gurus actually. Both very well known... I paid the one guy 3 months in advance and never heard from him again after 4 weeks. The other guy I paid 6 months in advance and never got any response after 6 weeks...
Now that you and Chris are at the level you are....do either of you come across these 'gurus' face to face? is anything ever said about the money they stole from you both?.....i cant imagine they were cheap either! scum bags.

No guru has ever stolen money from me. I just know of stories and people who have had it done to them. When it comes to that type of stuff I will for sure confront them. I am no way a hot head or lose my temper much but I will call someone out in this matter to their face.

Ahh sorry Chris, I misread it, thought it had happened to you. Can't believe people get away with that sort of thing without it coming round to bite them in the arse later down the line.

I am sure it will. I just do not know how anyone can be ok with doing that to someone. I would feel like scumbag.
The worst advice I ever got form a coach was to do 3 hours of cardio a day. I have never needed to do a ton of cardio and 3 hours is a little crazy for any one. Never again

3 hours?!?!
My rule: If someone is spending more time doing cardio than lifting weights there is something wrong with his approach. This is bodybuilding. We lift weights!

Whoa.
How was it prescribed? 3x 1 hour? Morning post wo, and before bed? Or just three hours straight? Lol. How did this coach say that with a straight face? And how long did you try it for before you just thought, fuck this!!
How do you expect to run with the wolves at night if you spend all day stuntin with the puppies?

Hahaha To be honest, I can´t see Frank do even an hour of cardio... :D
