if a coach told me to do 3 hours of cardio
the first reply i would have is "you're fired" or "give me my money back"
probably both.
exactly
"Ask yourself this: if everyone else is training once per week, what are you doing that's so different that you would expect to get better results than anybody else? You might have good genetics, be tough enough and disciplined enough to train hard... but so are a lot of people." - BOSS
"I think I must be overtraining"... no, you're just a pussy - Machine
The worst advice I ever got form a coach was to do 3 hours of cardio a day. I have never needed to do a ton of cardio and 3 hours is a little crazy for any one. Never again
That is crazy. I have never heard of such a thing. Even to kill muscle that is extreme. I did 2 hours per day before to kill muscle to make weight class. Needless to say it did not really work. HAHAH Losing muscle is very hard. HAHHA

Iīve done 2 hours before, too. Self prescribed. Like an idiot...
Yes, Sir!
You were training at Bevīs and Palumbo was interviewing. You talked about your prep, how much food you ate in the offseason, doing 2h of cardio, motocross, breaking bones and so on...

HAHAHH yup those are one of those preps I did 2 hours of cardio. When you are young we are def no phased by it. I thought it was easy and was never really tired either.

If you donīt know any better and actually really believe that something is the only option to get to your desired goal you simply do it. So, thatīs what you and I did.
Thinking about it. Itīs amazing how far you can push yourself under certain circumstances. Once again, the mind quits miles before the body does...

The belief is the key part. Many methods will actually work if you have the belief. If you are doing something 100% correct and do not have to belief or confidence you will in most cases still fail regardless of the method.
I agree though 100%
You ever follow that Navy Seal David Goggins? Dude ran 100 miles without training for it. To prove that he can do it. By the end he was pissing himself with blood and losing ability to hold his on shit in. Long story short got acute renal failure and fractured a bunch of bones in his legs but still finished. 100 fucking miles straight! WTF! He also has the world record on pull ups 4030 in 24 hours. talk about strong minded.
