Only to reheat my food. Never for cooking my food for prep. I do also make some of my prepped foods things I can eat cold if I need/want, like a chili with more spices then normal.

I warm up lunch 1 and 2 at work in a toaster oven. Microwaves are NEVER used! I bring breakfast 2 to work and I make it along with breakfast 1 which I eat early AM.
I also undercook my meat a bit because in the toaster oven the food heats up a little bit slower.
I know this might sound ridiculous to most of you...
But you guys have no idea how helpful you all are with your input. I feared using microwaves for a variety of dumb reasons. I would never trust them to safely heat up my food much less cook with them. Something I read a while back. Thanks for talking me off yet another ledge! LOL!

Whole eggs, lots of egg whites, orange juice, hashbrowns, strawberries, blueberries, sauekraut, white sushi rice, ground bison, tons of iodized salt, collagen protein, WPI and whatever deliciousness my wife makes or picks up for dinner =) these are my usual foods. I do veg out on Saturdays, you could call that my "cheat day" or what have you.
*Not much white meat is consumed at all. Some weeks, I don't eat any! Like they say in Tuscany, Italy, white meat is for the dogs! LOL! Love it.

I buy them in raw potato form already pre-shredded frozen. Gotta go to Whole Foods or a place like that, that sells all natural products. You may find some at a regular monsanto grocery store, but they'll probably have extra ingredients added in that you don't want.
For cooking or reheating? I use it for potatoes and cream of rice. That is it. The rest is pan and grill.

I am like that for some. I do not like cold fish. I do like cold chicken and prefer it that way

Room temp works for me. Pull it from the fridge in the morning and toss it in my bag. Leave my bag in the office and grab as the day goes. It is almost like my heated meal at the end of the day is a special treatment because it is hot and tasty. Physically and psychologically I am ok with that. not to mention some reheated fish in the work kitchen may piss some people off because of the smell.
