I forget the ingredient that was in the OG Jacked. It was banned. Was such a strong stimulant many users reported extremely high BP post-workout and things such as irregular heart beat, palpitations, etc. Of course, these same idiots were taking TWO TO THREE scoops! Shame some idiots always ruin a good thing for everyone else!
I get up at 5:30 during the work week. Before I leave work on training days you can bet your ass I'm sucking down some pre-workout! I've just realized, one scoop 95% of the time is more then enough. Interfering with good quality sleep to get in a hard workout is not worth it! Had to learn that the hard way.

I am lucky and don't notice the effects of a strong stim in my pre-workout when it is time for bed. I think it is because I usually burn the candle at both ends and when my day is done...nothing will keep me up. I am a huge fan of the pre-workout tingle though. Bring on the goosebumps, quick sweat, and perceived energy.

I believe it was DMAA...I might be wrong though, I’m not much into the fringe stimulant world - caffeine does the trick plenty for me. And yea, it got banned because some idiots in the military took way too much in training and had heart attacks. Apparently, 2-3 stupid soldiers are enough to ruin it for everyone.

Whatever works! Just PLEASE monitor your blood pressure before and after training while taking stims. It's a real eye opener!

Double D's! LOL, geez! We have quite a few ex military here at my company and you should hear some of their stories! The affectionate term "double D" evidently is the biggest diss in the entire military and they're unfortunately, many of the ones we run into here in the civilian world.
keep track of your blood pressure. It´s the silent killer
Honest question... how do you guys check your blood pressure so regularly? I only get checked when I go to the doctor and sometimes they struggle to find a cuff that fits my arm. Just wondering if you guys have any idea. I was on blood pressure medication before I started lifting but since, I have not been on and my blood pressure is always good when I go to the doc. But as you guys have talked about, the pre-workout and other supplements can affect that and I just want to be careful like you said.

Yep! It's easy. You put the cuff around the lower biceps area and have your palm facing up. Very accurate and most good devices have picture instructions printed on the cuff. Extremely accurate too!

So you buy one and check yourself following a workout?

Double D = dumb as dog shit.
I’ve known some really smart, talented individuals who have served in the military...and some guys who just seemed born cannon fodder. I knew several from HS who went in because, they said, it was that or jail for them...but at least they were smart enough to realize one of the 2 can have some benefits!

I'd much rather see men and women serve in our armed forces then become dependent on government welfare! I'll at least give the double D's SOME credit, right? At least they have the stones to join the military and fight in other men's countries.
