Arm days for me would consist of at least 18 sets of Bi's and a minimum of 20 sets for triceps. I also included 10 sets of forearms. On the days when I would totally go ape shit on them I couldn't wipe my ass, hold a steering wheel, reach in my pocket to get my car keys or wave good bye to anyone for at least a half hour after!
I found that I finish my arm workout with a thicker curl bar and do a total of 288 reps. My forearms don't need any more work after that. Im finishing with the bar resting between my thumbs and points as I finish my final reps. But I Love it... I get goosebumps as I walk up to the rack to start the set.
