I'm with you Spartan. I tend to buy my Animal supplements from other sites due to price. But if people do buy straight off here... I think they should have some point system or a free item or two. And yes Jay, I remember the days that we could put our name in the box to be part of different testing programs or free giveaways. The only thing I ever won was protein from NG on IG...it made my year. I was never picked for any supplement testing though...even though I tried

I got to beta test the new Stak, won tubs of this and that and scored a t-shirt in the past.

Now you have to be on IG and follow this and that IG accounts, tag 3 people, spin around and click your heels together to try to win something. The winner is random, not necessarily a loyal fan. Do people even win? Can’t say I ever see a winner announced.

I have got extras tossed in on some orders off The Shop. Stickers, patches, straps. Nothing big, but like a surprise in a Cracker Jack box LOL. I have several of Rex’s baseball cards

I'd gladly purchase my supplements from this sight if they would run promotional discounts every month. An occasional free T-shirt, free samples. Yeah when I spend a few grand on supplements or anything else for that matter in a year I like to get compted every now and again. When I managed gyms in the past I had give aways every month! A tank, a can of Blair's something to let the patrons there know I personally appreciated them! Raffles, cookouts, I had a loyal following of a couple of hundred members. The night time guys would even come in during the day just to be part of the festivities. When members would refer people to the gym I always threw in free training for the first 6 months! Hell I was a multi title holder at this point offering free training!

We hear you guys. Would you guys prefer a rewards points system where you build up rewards and cash them in for free merchandise or products or do you prefer spend X amount of dollars and get something free thrown in (shaker, shirt, product, etc.)?

I would prefer the points where I can pick what I want when I cash in.

BB.com does it the other way and you can only have so many shakers, straps, etc. I’d rather buy stuff and pick a tub of Juiced Aminos or Fury when I’m ready.

I'm liking the idea of discounts as in discount codes, for let's say people subscribed to animalpak.com (one time only type of codes). Another example, purchase one product get a second half off type thing as well.

C'mon Eric the guys and gals who buy shit on a regular basis need discounts on product (Pak, nitro, flex, etc.). The shirts, shakers etc. should be issued as incentives. I wouldn't mind being a little more involved in product development as well.

The challenge with doing heavy discounts on our own site is that we don't want to compete with our distributors (bb.com, DPS, A1supps, etc.) so promo items and/or a loyalty points system where you can earn free products makes more sense.

There are some supplement companies that offer big discounts on their sites but they are taking that discount off of full retail prices so it seems like you are getting a better deal but in reality you are paying the regular market price.

Bingo! Living in the generation of what have you done for me lately. I'm sorry but I picked up my first Animal product in the 90s and never thought man if I use this someday they are going to give me something free and not one time have I ever expected it. For several years now I drive to Ohio and been lucky enough to work my way up to intern and bust my ass for several days working the booth on little to no sleep or rest, why because i love the company and the folks involved. Animal is not the cheapest product out there yet its not the most expensive either. I have had the opportunity to get my hands on some free stuff, trials, and discounts when given out. Not to long ago the free Animal military shirts were given away on the forum and only like 5 of us actually put in for it. I got one and then turned it in to a giveaway at home to a Vet who obviously deserved it more than I did. I'm not saying corporate does or doesn't care if we buy stuff straight from them or retail but I don't use that as my decision when I order my supps. If its cheaper to get from A1 or BB.com that's where I go. and most of the time I get a free shaker or something. This week alone, I bought whey, collagen, and some bcaa. Got a free coffee mug and shaker because that's the deal A1 had going. That's how marketing and business works. They bought from corporate and draw folks into the site with good prices and free things with certain products. Now have I gotten emails from Animal when site sales and discounts go out, YEP do I use it, YEP. did everyone in the world get the email NO, because they are not signed up for it. But it does get posted on IG and FB so eventually words gets out. So it would be no time before the word got out that if your on the forum you get free stuff, imagine the crap traffic....I like our world here as is by word of mouth. As a moderator I try to weed out the crap. I never expect anything back from anything I do as a fan or someone who buys the product. What I do expect is to buy the brand and get what I am paying for and that's why I choose Animal and Universal. Sorry for the rant but as I set here and read some of the last few days posts it kind of pisses me off to see the back lash of not getting something "free" or "given back". And the idea that because frank is no longer a face in the group some will leave. Man im going to miss Frank, had the pleasure of many talks with him at the Arnold behind the chaos. nice one on one talks about life and just ruin of the meal stuff. and as much as he was a face of Animal, he is not animal. We are. You are! I remember the day I saw the first poster of animal, squat till you puke. Couldn't see the guys face but I knew that dude had it, that company had it. I became Animal. I lived the lifestyle, the brand, the family. Yep Frank will be missed but you know he will always be family and I know he and the company will continue to prosper. Free stuff, points, whatever, im not going anywhere! The forum will live out its days as best it can and Animal will rage on! I'm not trying to piss on anyone here but I think these days of entitlement need to be set aside and everyone get back to the basics. Work hard and get results.

I don't disagree with anything you are saying... but we do live in society that is molding us to expect things like loyal members discounts and fuel saving discounts. I have never been one to use punch cards or items like that. Hell, I have to say every time I shop, " No, I don't have a fuel savers card and I don't want one." I shop there because I like their product, not the thought of cheaper gas. But many people probably do bank on that cheaper gas or the free pizza after the 10th one was bought. The point im making is...some people value those discounts or free items and we cant judge or blame them for feeling that way. We all come from different walks of life, different upbringings, different social status...we just have to meet people where they are at. Now the stuff about not following the product line due to Frank leaving.. I chalked that statement up to old age by Spartan. You can tell he loves the product and tries to spark conversations, which he has done. I don't think there was "backlash" either...just guys voicing a thought. Just glad you threw your thoughts in on it...because it has been awhile since we have seen you with any regular frequency on here and anyone that has been on threads with you knows your knowledge and drive is valuable to the Brothers and sisters in here.

First you extend this to forum members only! And in order for each member to be eligible they would have to exceed a certain "buy in" amount. Something like a deductable. Once that amount is reached you can begin discounting products and adding incentives. By doing this you eleviate conflict of interest issues.

I didn't consider that! Very good point regarding retailers. Thanks for the clarification.

Dusty, I think you completely misunderstood what Sparty was trying to say.

He was stating that he misses the days where special promos, trial runs and discounts were given to folks on the FORVM. Not really entitlement, it's more of a way of saying thank you to very loyal customers. Repeat business is absolutely critical for any company. New business customers may only make one or two purchases than go elsewhere.

I def value the discount to a degree. I also know Animal will do what they can when they can without stepping on the retailers shoes. That just chalks them up to being a great company and loyal to the fans. I also don't want to be taken as if I am disagreeing just felt I would throw in my 2cents. As far as the backlash, most was from what I saw on IG a small amount here but mostly social media. I mean if your loyalty is to the person then you are prob in for a huge disappointment. Its like when Dallas signed with redcon. I was great friends with him for years before anyone knew him, before he was even bodybuilding. His second year at the Arnold I knew he was tired of BSN and would not be renewing his contract with them, I stole him away from the booth and brought him to the cage to meet some of the guys. Yet his place was not with Animal, I never once though about jumping ship. He sent me some products and all and I supported him as a person but that's as far as it went. I have just never been about the person and I see so many getting caught up in that. But that goes along with what can I get out of it. I understand the want for more and its not wrong to ask for kick backs or what not, but it seems almost demanding by some or expected.

Also sorry for my absence. I have been lurking in the shadows as well. Checking in but not posting. I took almost a month off from training for some travel with the family and work. However as of now I am back and in full force.

I shop there because I like their product, not the thought of cheaper gas. Just glad you threw your thoughts in on it...because it has been awhile since we have seen you with any regular frequency on here and anyone that has been on threads with you knows your knowledge and drive is valuable to the Brothers and sisters in here.

oh no I didn't miss that. That's why I said what I said about the Military shirts. Animal gave away 10 and only like 5 of us put in for them. No one signed up. I ever kept the post going and reminded everyone. Like I said not trying to piss on anyone but when things like that are done and no response is given, it goes elsewhere like IG because the response there is greater. I miss the days when it was that way years ago, but I think the supply and demand has changed. we still have those things just not as much, I cant say I don't blame corp though, if it was my company I prob would be focusing on the social media side because it draws in the most unfortunately for us on the forum that lessens our chances but as tried and true that doesn't really matter to me, I will still be here with no expectations. I know NG and Jdawg miss those days as well but there are more decision makers that see bigger sights than just us. Im in no way saying im right, I don't think there is a right or wrong. Just don't want the ones on here to sound demanding because it kind of does.
