We have a power lifting team that trains most nights around 5pm all are welcome just give us a heads up. We have a mono lift, comp bench, rev. hyper, GHR, chains, bands and plenty of specialty bars among other equipment.
I also saw a place on Fb with a RPS meet in the Default pic: East Coast Barbell Club at 3051 BASHOR RD

“I realized early on that success was tied to not giving up. Most people in this business gave up and went on to other things. If you simply didn’t give up, you would outlast the people who came in on the bus with you.”

Much thanks brother, this is a huge help. I’ll definitely hit these places up.
If it is your first meet, don't stress too much about your training, bodyweight or anything else leading up to the meet. Your first meet is going to be spent trying to figure out the timing for everything. When to eat, when to start warming up, how much to warm up, when to get on the platform, etc...and God help you if you are lifting equipped. That adds an entirely new dimension to the warm up and timing to get yourself on the platform.
Don't focus on the lifts or what can be or could have been. Survive the meet, then you have a much better idea what you need to do to approach the next one.
