      Protein, carbs and fats. Always.

Recovery is the goal. You need to replenish muscle glycogen and fuel repair. If whole foods aren’t available, a couple scoops of whey, some oats and a tablespoon of peanut butter in a shaker is the way to go. Fast food is only ever last resort. There’s too much shit in Mickey D’s. We’re not here to get fat.

Nutrient timing is critical. I always try to get a whole food meal in me within an hour or so after my workout. Sound advice brother. Thanks CD!

I always told people that if they couldn't bring something with them or carry anything around, get some chocolate milk. It's available pretty much everywhere.

All the pro's say to get a bunch of protein and carbs no fats. The fats slow down absorption of the carbs to your muscles post-workout. Personally, I have to eat fats too because it's normally dinner and my last whole food meal before my night time shake.

If you're able, it's ideal to eat a lot of protein and carbs so your muscles soak up the nutrients quickly and you can have your next meal sooner too!

Had it again today. I got about 5 meals out of that. Plus what my wife ate. She usually doesn’t eat pork, but likes the outside parts with the rub. Say 6 meals for @ $15. Not bad.

I keep canned chicken and some microwave rice cups handy for when I don’t have food prepped. 2 cups of rice and 45 gm protein from the chicken. I put some Taco Bell chipotle sauce on it for flavor. Not bad when I’m in a pinch.

The rice cups are great. Have you ever tried the microwavable wrap yams?

I have re-appropriated A LOT of taco bell sauce to church up some otherwise bland home made dishes.
