Yeah, that was also about the time Universal withdrew the posting requirements for the Pros. Jay Nera would just wait til the end of the month and make about 20 posts in one day then you wouldn’t hear from him til the end of the next month

I follow him too. I was just using him as an example of how everyone had one foot out the door. It’s too hard to have a conversation on IG, and Animal’s FB is just guys asking stuff they could learn for themselves if they read the labels on the supps. This is where it’s at, but no one wants a message board anymore

I disagree with the message board comment. I've noticed the Xennial/Gen X generations (us on here, well most of us) are bored and over social media as it's nothing but narcissistic bullshit. Message boards get to the point and cut out a lot of the unnecessary. Better source of info and easier to reference in my opinion.

Not so much for us, but for the pro’s social media is important. The amount of content they put out, the fan interaction, the number of followers and likes they get all factor in to sponsorship. It shows a company what they can bring to the table. Someone might win shows or meets, but has no followers or treats fans like crap and companies see that. Posts on a message board don’t really factor since this >is< a company site. It doesn’t reflect on them personally. When you go to someone’s IG and they have a discount code for their sponsor, that code tells the sponsors how many sales that athlete is bringing in. This is why things are what they are. It’s all business. Each athlete is his/her own business and then there’s company business.
