65 and sinking fast. Joints are achin', bones a rattlin', but the will remains!
A buddy of mine started a new plan 4 months ago. 2 super sets and one tri set, 3 sets per exercise, 15,12 and 10 reps. 1 minute rest between supersets 5 workouts a week and hits each body part just once a week. He's absolutely blown up while keeping his weight the same. Said after 2 years he got tired of always back sliding because of injuries.

Good to see you're back round these parts!!! There's countless things you can do to keep the muscle you've built over the years and maintain a strong structure. You don't have to constantly keep seeing gains, but can focus on a variety of things like conditioning movements, different styles of cardio, different barbell movements, DB movements, etc. The possibilities are literally limitless, precisely why I love the lifter lifestyle so much =)
Personally, I have had a war going on with my BP for years now. Figured out the right base medication with some supplemental ones when my systolic number shoots up. It ain't slowin me down!! Just have to re-evaluate training and focus more on conditioning/cardio and getting to bed earlier; even if I have to sacrifice volume/movements. Health has to be my concern now; especially, being a single father I need to have energy for my kiddos =) =)
Basically, I've got so much muscle mass on my frame that my heart isn't liking it anymore. Bodyweight and my overall sense of well being has been reset and I feel GREAT when my BP is in line. Bodyweight has been closer to 260, but I may need to get under 250 to prevent my BP levels from jumping. I honestly cannot push overload movements or anything overly straining anymore or my BP flies up, just part of my genetic makeup unfortunately; otherwise, the rest of my levels across the board are bullet proof!

Too much muscle! Seriously watch that blood pressure Beast. Silent killer. I'm experimenting around with a lot of Hammer and Arsenal pieces. I still try to incorporate DB and some BB movements in the mix.

Yes sir! Definitely going to start trimming up. Have no choice at this point!
*Once the machines get too easy, switch to DB's than BB's later.
At some point it just comes down to maintenance. Machines are your best bet for protecting your joints. The hardest part is coming to terms with when that point comes though. This lifestyle is part of our identity. My knees have taken a crap on me and I’ve had to give up squats and leg presses. I’m no world champion squatter, but it was still hard to deal with. It’s the mental hump that’s hard to get over. I think once you can do that, the rest takes care of itself. You already have the knowledge.
Strength doesn't come from physical capacity. It comes from indomitable will. -Gandhi
You cannot dream yourself into a character. You must hammer and forge yourself into one. -Thoreau
