So it looks to me that between the Squat and the Bench, there is pretty substantial progress towards the total. How is the structure holding up?
I found out some mistakes I was making and added in a few things to my diet and it's helping a ton. I added in 5000-6000 IUs Vitamin-D3, 1 gram of turmeric circumen, 2 baby aspirin, a shot of apple cider vinegar, and L-Theanine along with what I was already taking (Animal Pak and Animal Omega). And I have to say I am feeling incredible. I have also been eating oatmeal with blueberries and animal whey every morning as well. The other major change I made about a month ago was I swapped out ground beef for chicken in all of my meals for heart health. And I always put spinach and kale in my homemade chipotle bowls. And finally I eat a banana with peanut butter everyday. So my body feels great and my performance is showing it.
Everything is now looking on track for 2100 at the meet. I'm now thinking as high as 771.6 may be possible on squats. I'm thinking as high as 474 might be possible on bench. And I'm thinking 881.8 is looking good on deads.
I recently did:
690 lbs high bar paused squat in knee sleeves
475 lbs paused bench
955 block pull missed right at lockout from 2.5 inch blocks
"And I'm thinking 881.8 is looking good on deads. "
I think so too.
3 weeks out now! I want to hit 880 on the texas squat bar and 930-950 on the texas deadlift bar. And I'll probably give 485 a go on bench. I thought about trying another heavy squat, but honestly that 690 paused high bar was pretty sketchy, so I'll likely just shut down squats until the meet now.

That bar is just not bending. You are going to be sooo strong off the floor.

You know both sides were slipping that bar just bends so much and that's just a lot of weight for those collars. But it sure did look like it wanted to come up.

It worked wonders. I may pull on the Texas Squat Bar the entire next meet prep. It gave me so much more speed when I switched back to the deadlift bar.

Thanks buddy, it's too bad you can't make it out to this meet next weekend in California!

I agree! It felt pretty darn good and after the 805 I was feeling very confident. Now it's jut time to rest up and get ready for the meet!
Did you have clips on the bar?? Looked like there was room.
Yep, they were just hanging half off though unfortunately. But now it's time for the meet. Flying out in 3 days and my weight was 240.6 this morning, so I should be ready to go. Pretty excited and feeling great.
871 baby!!!! And congratulations on the new total. Fantastic!!!

Thanks guys! Maybe not the perfect meet that I was looking for, but it went pretty darn well. I wanted 2100, but that will have to wait another 10 weeks and I'll have to keep this log going until then. I have the USPA Tennessee Open at my gym on January 14 and should surely go over 2100 if things keep going the way they have.
The 882 deadlift moved well, but my callus tore at the top. Still pretty happy with everything. I went 760 on squats in sleeves, which is a massive 27 lb PR and almost an 8 plate squat. Bench went horribly and I only got my opener of 441. 451 I tried twice and missed 2/3 of the way up. So back to the drawing board on bench. Squats definitely fatigue you for bench though. And then 871 on deads for a 2072 total.
I start this next training prep on Saturday. Feeling pretty good other than some forearm pain from low bar squatting. Most importantly, my hips and knees feel great.

I watched your video and I think it's amazing that your squat went up so much without doing a lot of actual squatting. Nice job man. I think your plan for a 900 pull and how to plan your second attempts is pretty solid too.
