6 weeks fuck that I waited a few days after 2 weeks I was fine
I just started a half sleeve on my left arm. Had first sitting yesterday. I'm taking yesterday/today off and I'll be in there tomorrow with the arm covered up a bit.

That's what I did, but a little more aggressive. 8 hour apt Thurs & 9 hour apt on Friday. Got my entire shoulder-across my back covered up completely and then the entire outside of my arm from wrist up to the shoulder done. All that's left now is a little bit of the forearm and the bicep itself, everything else was done last week. I ended up taking off Saturday, did deads on Sunday since I knew it wouldn't rub anything. When I worked out Mon, I wore a long sleeve shirt. This week will probably continue to be mostly things that won't stretch the skin too much (hypers, lunges, split squats, etc etc) and no bar across my back and a good chance of the same next week too, since the first 2 weeks are usually the entire healing process

Thanks man, took a lot of patience to sit there 17 hours in 2 days lol. On Friday, the guy who does my tattoos asked if I had ever watched the show "Stranger Things" and couldn't believe I had not. So we put it on Netflix. I was able to watch the entire 1st season lol. Going back next month once everything is healed to add in some more coloring and touch ups and then getting the rest of my forearm finished. All that'll be left after that is the bicep

That is a marathon session. I sat for 5 hours on back to back days to do the inside of my upper arms and I will never do that again. I was drained. Big high five and unlimited props to you for being able to sit that long. very impressive.

Yeah it wasn't fun lol. Honestly, some of it was fine. Top of forearm, shoulder, none of that bothered me at all. The elbow didn't feel great, inside the bend of the arm wasn't fun. Below the back of my neck was the worst.
That's one thing that sucks, I know the inside of my upper bicep is still to come and I remember from 10 years ago how much that sucked lol.

Trying to gather people’s thought on how soon after a new tattoo is it fine to lift? I’ve heard 6 weeks, I’ve heard it doesn’t matter and go the next day. Just curious other peope’s thinking on it. If it matters, I’ll be doing a full sleeve from shoulder (cover up) down to wrist. So my whole shoulder & arm.
I've never really worried about it. I mean, definitely rinse it off once you are done and dab it to dry sort of thing. But i haven't had any issues. There is of course the obvious, dont wear straps over your wrists if the tatto covers your wrists....or lie on your back tattoo to bench press, or put the squat bar across your back piece. But those are kind of obvious things to NOT do.
How do you expect to run with the wolves at night if you spend all day stuntin with the puppies?

Ughhh the only tattoo I have is a spinal piece that goes down my entire back - it’s been 16 years now(holy shit!) and I still remember the burn when dude was hitting the top of it, just below the neck. Definitely the worst spot for the work I had done!

Yea just below the neck was definitely the worst. Right above the armpit/inner bicep sucks too, and I know that's coming at the end of the month, lol, but under the neck is still the #1 I remember for sucking

Going next Friday for a 12hour session to pretty much complete the sleeve. I'll have 1 more to do little touch ups but that should be about it

I got my first one about 3 months ago, was 9 hours on my right shoulder, then a month later got the other shoulder, darker how I want the first one (so he's gonna darken it and tweak some stuff) but was 10 hours, then sat 12 hours about 3 weeks later and did entire upper back and spinal column all the way down in a big v...it's outlined and shaded just have to add color...so...have 3 tattoos now, but it's my whole back and all of both shoulders. Never peeled, got a tad itchy for a day or two but healed 100% or so within a week...lifting 2 days after each one.
Fuck sitting for that long.....I cant do it anymore. You guys and your marathon sessions. hats off to you guys. Schedule me for three hour sessions every other weekend until its done.
