I trained with Oscar back in 2009 for the 8 weeks leading up to the NY Pro. It was a very intense 8 weeks and I learned a lot. With regards to quads/hamstrings I learned a few things 1. You don't need that many exercises or sets. 2. Intensity is key 3. Heavy quad training where failure is reached on squats and leg press leaves you not having to do a ton specifically for hamstrings 4. Intensity beats volume
The technique was INTENSITY. There was no finesse, no training for a pump and very little in the way of isolation. It was all about move the maximum amount of weight the maximum number of times. That about sums up what I learned in regard to leg training with Oscar! And it worked.
