So ever since I began my journey specifically to be a bodybuilder.. I've trained mainly to pump my muscles full of blood and expand them as much as possible. This has been my number one concept to building more muscle tissue (leaving out other factors such as nutrition). Yes, I increase the resistance (weight) when I feel it's necessary. For bodybuilding, I don't believe more weight is the end all be all. However, I don't deny heavy weight builds muscle. So my concept of training has mainly been about the pump being a bodybuilder.. I've discussed this before with other bodybuilders and power lifters.. but noticed the training was almost the exact opposite.. power lifters train against the pump. Correct me if I'm wrong.. but I find this very interesting. As I try to develop my strength.. I typically do less pre exhaustion of the muscles (less pumped) and go directly into heavier lifts following warm up. I know this forum is filled with either bodybuilders or power lifters.. so expanding on this topic would be cool. Or at least I find it quite interesting.
