So... my container of chicken definitely just tipped over off my desk and landed on the floor...........
Thank God for Jimmy John's turkey lettuce wraps lol

Lateral raise machine- 3 x 20-25

Solid. Strength was there, felt good. Much better than last weeks shoulder day. Elliptical felt good too. Goal is to progress a little further in the same time each workout. I still enjoy the elliptical because you use your whole body and I don't get shin splints since there's no impact. Win-win

See I don't mind the elliptical at all. The stepmill is probably my favorite. I'll do the treadmill sometimes but ever since middle school track and also cross country, I get shin splints pretty easily. So I tend to opt for the low impact cardio because I can do a lot and not have to worry

Stepmill- 2.5miles of intervals. Rough stuff, but felt great after

Terrible workout. When I got to my final set of 3 @ 460, it felt like it was 9,000lbs. I barely could get 1. Just wasn't there. I was really tired and know it had to have been mental because I'm strong enough to lift 460 lol. It is what it is. Dropped down weight a little and punished myself with deficits. Going to repeat week 3 next week. Unacceptable.
Stepmill for cardio, crushed myself again

Weights moved well. Hard/heavy, but manageable. Good stuff

Holding yourself accountable and getting a bit pissed with yourself will ensure success next week.

Yup. I've been thinking about this coming Saturday's deadlift day all week. Ready to go at it again

Attempted to do this workout on Monday, the 31st and it was an epic fail. Forgot to bring compression shorts to change into (I can not squat in boxers). Still attempted to get through the workout and it wasn't pretty. Couldn't hit depth at all. So came back the next am at 5 and got it handled. Smolov has kicked back up now and will continue pushing me hard for another 5 weeks.
1 x 3 @ 330
1 x 4 @ 380
3 x 4 @ 430
1 x 5 @ 455
-----------------
Bike- 5.25 miles
-----------------
Good workout. The 1 x 5 was rough but it's the name of the game. The bike was really tough. I've learned the easiest way to keep my legs conditioned for the PT test is to pound out the miles for cardio and not focus on time. Instead of doing X mins of cardio for 4 days a week or w/e, I aim more towards miles in the quickest time. Overall goal is 20miles each week made up of treadmill, bike, stairs, elliptical.

Nice and heavy day. Everything moved pretty smoothly got in some good weights.

Great lift. The 2 x 5 at the end were tough. Both sets got to around 4, and was like "Ehhh.... I think that's it" but then I waited a second and thought "Gotta get the last one. Gotta stay on track with every rep of this program" and got it. So, good stuff. Didn't do any cardio because I got home and had a ton of work to do. Had to move out an old couch and recliner and move in a new one. Fun times lol.

Sumo deads:
5 x 5-3. Worked up to 415, most I've tried so far with sumo pulling
Rack pulls:
4 x 6 (225, 315, 405, 495)
Cardio:
2.5 miles on elliptical
3 miles on bike
------------------
Really good day. Hit all weights nice and smooth, kept form tight. Wanted to work on deads in different areas other than JUST deads from the floor. Next workout I'll rotate the exercise some to conventional and deficit. Just wanting to build all around strength in the deadlift

DB front raises- 4 x 10-6, drop set on last to ez bar raises
Straight bar pushdowns- 3 x 15, 6, 20
Rev grip pushdowns- 3 x 15, 6, 20
Rope pushdowns- 3 x 15, 6, 20

Really good workout. Bench felt great, nice & strong. Triceps were WRECKED afterwards too, which is always good. Always a focus to keep delts out of tricep work as much as possible. Considering I started many weeks ago barely getting 300 for 1, I'll definitely take 350 for 5. 405 is feeling closer and closer

Stairs- 1 mile
Bike- 3.25 miles

Phew, rough one, but got through every rep. That's all that matters. Quads were on FIRE while on the elliptical. But again, hit my goal of 5 miles total. So it's w/e

Very mediocre day for squats. Went to the gym by my work for a lunch time workout and squatting was a disaster. It's almost an identical hammer strength power rack as my normal gym, but just a tad off. The pins were higher, so I had to basically do a calf raise to get the bar on/off, really threw everything off and had me really unbalanced. Is what it is. But that's why I used the lying leg curl machine and uni-lateral leg press - 2 pieces of equipment my normal gym doesn't carry. It's alright, can't dwell on it. Squats again Friday will make up for it.

And this was it for shoulders. Idk what happened, but after I racked the weights, my hands almost felt numb starting all the way from the delts. I tried using some very light DBs to pump some blood into the muscle and could barely move my right shoulder at all. Idk if a nerve was just a little pinched or just tight or what but it didn't feel good. After I stopped, my front deltoid was sore to the touch but not awful. When it comes to shoulders especially, I always take my time and warm them up well and start light and work up and keep really tight form, so I don't think it was due to sloppy pressing. Either way, moved on to cardio instead of causing any more issues with it.
Elliptical- 4 miles in 29mins, 1 mile cool down (around 8:30min pace). Rough but great stuff
