MYKL's Forge
*Deep Bow of respect*
Hail and well met, We are encouraged to keep a log of where we are, where we're going and how we're getting there. What a great boon to a new lifter to find a place like this where his journey can be encouraged by fellow travellers and diciplined by the experianced trail blazers. It stokes my Dragon Soul to find it and to participate. I hope to find helpful critiques/tweaks to point me down the right trail. I hope to get a nod of understanding once in a while for accomplishents. And I hope perhaps to get some respect for any clevernesses I may accomplish on the way. Why I'm here: By the time that I was 16 my father had set me up on a routine for bodybuilding that truely was just about pounding the iron and had no real nutritional support. I was strong though, and determined to build something with what he was teaching me. Then I went blind. Surgury(I can see!), Graduation, Marriage and more schooling set me back and I found myself 30 years old at a desk weighing in at 265 pounds. And it was by no means a result of training muscles (size 42 pants). In order to step out of this downward spiral I began to train/diet sporatically and loose some weight. It wasn't 'till the beginning of this year though, that I tried suplimenting a lifters routine with a lifters diet. I started taking the PAK and protien and attending the gym every weekday morning. I am now at the point that I think I have enough of a base to take the training to really impressive levels due to Universals suppliments and the increase in my diet that has enabled me to recover quickly from any punishment I deal my body. First I'll post my stats and my stack and diet. Then I'll post my workouts and see what you all think of it. Stats: Age: 36 Height: 5'10" Weight: 193 LBS Bench: 205 X 5 X 3 (highest weight used at this point, I have not tried a one rep max) I'll post my workout and the weights/reps/sets starting monday and you'll get a clearer idea of where I am at. Average weekday diet/schedule on cycle: 5:00 Wake and take a PAK and my STAK2 with a two scoop protien shake. 5:30 Take a PUMP and sometimes a banana. 6:00 Take a NITRO 6:10 Trian 'Till 7:30 then take a 2nd NITRO with grape juice. 8:00 At work I'll wait 'till 45 mins have past from the NITRO and I'll drink a protien supp. I'll eat handfulls of nuts 'till I'm not hungry washed down with copious amount of water up untill lunch. 12:00 Lunch time I usually go heavy with chicken or burritos or chinese depending upon where the group ends up. (I'll post exact lunches with my logs) 13:00 More nuts and lots of water when I get hungry for them. 14:00-15:00 I take an M-STAK and it warms me up again. I feel like I could hit the gym again! But I still fell the welcome reminder of the morning battle and know that recovery is almost as important as diet. 15:00-17:00 'Till the drive home I eat more nuts and drink more water... 18:00 Depending upon how I feel I'll take a one scoop shake when I get home. Wife will feed me a meal and I'll try to get into recovery mode by 21:30 21:00 Drink a two scoop protien shake and hit the hay. Repeat all five weekdays. I've purchased 2 cans of TEST and plan on the mother of all cycles after I go off cycle the 2 weeks following the one I'm on (M-STAK and STAK2). I'll post what I do on the weeks end after I've posted a week of my journal. Are we posting progress photos here? I don't see a way to do that... I think of this as the forging of a fine weapon. I get to be the smithy. I also get to be the fine weapon. Admired for both by peers and by those that can't give themselves to the heat... I hope to develop into a long lasting part of this place... Your Brother in Iron, Perseverance and Strength.
