      Air Fryer

Picked up an air fryer. I haven’t used it yet. Wondering if anyone has any good recipes or tips to share?

I've always thought about getting an air fryer, just never took the leap. Don't really know why, though. It seems like an interesting process.

I’m kinda fired up to roast some potatoes in it. Putting some shrimp in there is at the top of my list too. Still haven’t used it. My wife made a ton of shredded chicken so I’m going through that. I’ve been warming it up in a pan and pouring scrambled eggs on it, making burritos, breakfast burritos or just eating it straight. A little BBQ sauce, hot sauce or chipotle sauce keeps it interesting.

It's my new favourite way to hard-boil eggs.

Air-fried steak is actually better than it sounds. Cut the steak on a bias, put a slice of bacon on top, and presto. Makes even the leanest cuts of meat juicy and "fatty" tasting.

You can replace cooking oil with Pam, for any recipes that call for it. Simply spray the food with Pam, and also coat the inside of the basket.

Sweet potatoes tended to curl up, when I was cutting them into French-fry shapes. Tried cutting them into rounds and they retained their integrity.

You're missing out! Makes the best tasting home fries =)

I eat potatoes for the majority of my carbs. I'm not Asian, I don't like rice nor do I like the stigma that BBers have to eat rice! I'm of direct German descent, I like potatoes, oats and bread =) Beer for that matter too! Works for me and potatoes have FAR more nutrients then rice does as well.

      I love mine

I got one of the big ones. Has 3 shelves and a drip tray. Has a rotisserie adapter too. That thing is amazing.

So 3 and a half months later I finally unboxed the air fryer LOL. I cubed up some regular old russet potatoes. Tossed them in olive oil with salt and pepper. They cooked for about 22 minutes at 400 and I stirred them up once half way. They are amazing. This was pretty basic I guess, but I’m sold.

Add some paprika and a little garlic salt next time =)

Love my air fryer for potatoes and vegetables! Coat some asparagus in olive oil with some sea salt, chopped garlic and parmesan cheese! It'll be the only greens you eat from here on out.
