      Can’t get enough.

Our identity is defined by this infatuation.
How can embracing a passion like lifting bring so
much fulfillment and drive to one's life?
      These qualities required for
our approach to lifting are truly admirable traits
But make no fucking mistake they come with some serious baggage! Yet
lifting in it’s purest form is what gives us our greatest
      sense of accomplishment.
Pushing limits. It’s like a dance between our
mind and body, every lift a testament to our hard work and dedication.
There's something incredibly empowering about that.
      We love the fucking grind!
something deeply satisfying about the grind. The sweat,
      the effort, the relentless pursuit
of that elusive“Brass ring” This is where the magic happens,
both physically and mentally. It's in those moments that pushing through
the toughest reps and challenging our limits that define us.
The junkie is dedicated to this process.

There's something truly extraordinary about our bond with the iron.
The elation we experience when we exceed expectations,
The overwhelming sense of accomplishment that washes over us
with each personal victory. So simplistic in nature
      It's fucking insane,
That such a powerful force can be obtained by simply performing this routine task with consistency and diligence.
Seldom does anyone find something that resonates so deeply.
      Keep embracing the love Junkies!!

      ‘Till death do us part.

My posts here are generally focused
on my relationship with lifting. (A love affair I might add
that has lasted for well over 50 years)!
No big secret. But I’m fairly certain
we can all agree there's nothing quite like it.
It possesses a certain poetic and symbolic quality,
A unique appeal that simple words struggle to define.
Resilience, discipline, mental fortitude can all be attributed to
      this powerful and transformative process!
Keep striving and relish every fucking moment of progress, no matter
how small. Celebrate those victories, every set, every rep
is a step closer to becoming the best version of ourselves!
The iron is our fucking ally, unlocking potential we never thought possible!!
Remain dedicated and stay passionate my friends! #addicted for life!!

      Can’t say it enough

Who would’ve imagined that what is deemed by many,as
an abnormal obsession could possibly be responsible
for adding so much value and purpose to one’s life. The junkie,
despite public opinion has accepted this mindless,
primitive behavior as an integral part of their being.
Granted our priorities may not align with the masses
and at times blur lines but any sacrifice made is worth
the fucking cost. Anyone committed to our culture will
most certainly say it’s worth nurturing.

      The path to true enlightenment?

Discovering the one thing that most gives us this strong sense of being can only be described as extraordinary!
Lifting not only strengthens the body but also deepens the connection with our true self. Sounds so fucking zen
this path of self-discovery and empowerment.
      Feeling uninhibited
and free releases us from our self imposed limitations It’s our lifting that enables us to tap into that raw, unrestrained energy, allowing us to
break free from any constraints. It's a powerful way to
express ourselves and connect with the junkies true essence.

The iron becomes both your greatest
adversary and your most reliable ally.
It's this battle of will, that tests your strength
      and persistence.
The beauty of this is that the iron
      doesn't lie—it always tell you
exactly where you stand with it. It molds
      you, brings structure, and provides
an unending source of growth and challenge.
Our commitment to this passion is truly a testament to the power of the culture.

Without the iron, I would probably either be in a straight jacket or prison. To say I'm grateful to be alive during a time where such great equipment and knowledge regarding strength is widely available, is a massive understatement. Wouldn't have it any other way!

Now I understand why centi-millionaires, billionaires, etc all take fight training. Strong body = strong mind. It's truly that simple. Even Socrates was jacked!

      Don’t waste it

Our love of the iron is something to be celebrated and admired.
Lifting has become so much more than just a leisurely activity,
it's an essential part of our being and identity.
The unwavering dedication we bring to the table is
      nothing shy of awe inspiring!
Even our biggest critics will admit our dedication is truly impressive.
Lifting is a non-negotiable priority for the junkie.
Our insane commitment to it speaks volumes
about the lengths we’ll go to
      chase the fucking high!
Each day presents another challenge to measure up.
      It's fucking relentless!!
We need no incentive, our drive and
passion provides all the juice we need!
      That’s what separates us!
      Keep embracing those opportunities
      and make every one count!!

I really miss going to ABCs. Training with a bunch of like minded psychos and then taking over a restaurant for some post work out grub.

Those were some of my fondest memories CD.
Looking forward to a meal after a marathon
session with the iron and then spending the next
hour or two discussing the details!

      Zoned out?

“In the zone," surely we’ve all heard this one.
A mental state where you are so fully immersed
that it results in a feeling of energized focus
      and intense concentration.
      Time escapes you, distractions disappear,
and you find yourself in a hyper sense of clarity.

It’s considered the optimal experience because you’re
functioning at your highest capacity, both mentally and physically.
The junkie is no stranger to being in the zone.
Hell, the junkie has taken up permanent residency in that fucking place!
You and the iron, moving in perfect lock step,
that kind of focus and intensity can only be described
as being “In the zone” This is how we’ve always got our shit done!

      Can you feel it?

It is this metamorphosis we undergo
      from that very first moment,
this profound change that doesn’t hinge
solely on the physical. (That's the fucking obvious shit)!
It's the mental and emotional toughness that
grows with each challenging situation we conquer.
Each new milestone a step closer to
a stronger, more resilient version of ourselves.
The junkies obsession cultivates a type of discipline
      and perseverance that eludes
      those unfamiliar with our passion.
Yes we are indeed a unique breed!

      Get over it!

Struggles. Shit we're all confronted at one time or another. Some appear insurmountable while others little inconveniences. Never the less in order to preserve our mental well being we find ways to cope. Devising mechanisms. Fortunately for those of us addicted to the iron those are some of the fringe benefits. It's quite therapeutic. It deescalates, it allows for pent-up frustration and rage to be channeled to a more manageable and tolerable degree. It gives us a hopeful perspective. That's what's so fucking appealing about it.You have some control over the outcome.

      Iron balls Mc Ginty

I've learned from both, you CD and Beast, where true strength comes from. It's all giggles and grins when things are going your way it's only when the shit hits the fan do we find out who the fuck we really are. Life kicks you in the fucking teeth and you guys got back up and said is that all you fucking got! I've known people who've projected that fucking paper mache facade of toughness only to be reduced to a woe is fucking me blubbering mass from the first sign of adversity.
Stay the fucking course gentlemen I tip my fucking hat to you both!!
