      smoothies

I thought I'd list some of my smoothie recipes. These are pretty much my pre work out meals

      The Base:

      1/4 cup kefir -probiotics
      1/4 cup Fairlife
      2 tablespoons cottage cheese
2 scoops of whey, chocolate or vanilla
(whatever kind of milk or fat free/ regular cottage cheese I guess would depend on your diet goals)
These all go in a Ninja or Nutrabullet blender

      Apple:
      Base+
      2 small apples
      2 scoops vanilla protein
      cinnamon -I'm generous with it
top off with a splash of apple juice of cider

      Pear:
      Base+
      2 pears
      2 scoops vanilla whey
      cinnamon
top off with apple juice or water

      Peanut butter banana:
      Base+
      1 large banana
      2 scoops chocolate whey
2 heaping tablespoons P2B powder or actual peanut butter
      splash of water

      Strawberry Banana:
      Base+
      1 large banana
      1 1/2 cup strawberries
2 scoops either chocolate or vanilla whey. whatever you're feeling
      splash of water

      Blueberry:
      Base+
      1 to 1.5 cups blueberries
      1 banana
      2 scoops vanilla whey
      splash of water

      Raspberry:
      Base+
      1 to 1.5 cups raspberries
2 scoops either chocolate or vanilla whey
      splash of water

      Pumpkin:
      Base+
      canned pumpkin 4 tablespoons?
      2 scoops vanilla whey
      cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice
      water
(the canned pumpkin can make this thick so play with the amount you use to get it how you like it)

If calories are not a concern you could use any kind of pie filling and make it like the pumpkin shake, just with different spices or none at all

You can't forget the good old OJ and vanilla whey shake, or just plain apple juice and vanilla whey.

Anyone got one to share? These are all fruit based. Any green shake/ smoothie recipes?

I used to have a pumpkin pie shake recipe. I haven't done it in a long time. The basic idea was pumpkin pie filling, vanilla mass powder, oats and cinnamon.

Oats and flax seed are great in a shake. I used to put oats in a coffee grinder and make oat powder. Sometimes flax seed costs more in the supplement area of a store but is cheaper in the baking isle

I was at the store last night and was looking at the Ninja Creamy Ice Cream Maker. You could basically use all these recipes to make protein ice cream in that thing.
