I've also spotted Pavel's GTG (greasing the groove) theory, that the more a muscle is worked, the more it grows because of the body's natural ability to adapt to stress. The key is to create a daily split concentrating on the certain muscle (arms for example). You must be careful not to overtrain though as you will work the target daily. Workouts per day are not supposed to be that intense so that the muscle has ample recovery time.
